So I couldn't find an existing thread and thought we should have some place to discuss our applications!

If I feel nostalgic I take a little look through the 2008 Applicants thread and sigh.....:rolleyes: Looking at the posts of nervous desperation, waiting for decisions is rather poignant, especially now that work has started and I just realised today my philosophy essay is due next friday! Eeek!:o:

Unfortunately St Andrews is known for keeping applicants waiting!:yep:
I received my (unconditional:p: ) offer at the start of February, but there are LOADS of people who were kept waiting until well into March! :rolleyes:
So, be prepared for a long wait....:wink:

Chemistry with a year in industry 09 entry, I've already had a rejection letter from Imperial i really hope St. A's give me an offer as its my first choice :/

Your A-levels look fine and GCSE's are better than mine!
Do they send acknowledgement emails?
I mean, considering how desperate I want St Andrews it's a bit rude that they're the only uni that havent said anything. :P
And do they wait till Jan before giving out places?
Application for medicine for 2009 entry :smile:

I have heard that they sometimes call some people for interview in November, but the majority in March - so I am prepared for a shock or a long wait!!

We'll see lol, im resitting 3 modules in january as well to try and get AAB. I dont think they'd give me an offer based on what I have already :\

applying for philosophy - it's funny, because nearly two weeks after I sent my application off I suddenly decided to replace Edinburgh for St Andrews - not too sure if that was a bad choice though, because I think I would've been more likely to get an offer from Edinburgh. Oh well, St Andrews looks amazing still :smile:
