Awesomeness :woo: I'm still waiting on my status from St Andrews - they're certainly taking their time  When are they supposed to hand out the last offers?

They 'AIM' to respond by the 31st March
Not a promise though, sadly. Technically they have til the 5th of May or thereabouts

You could stay in the youth hostel, its absolutely cheap and central and it was really friendly when I went there a month ago.

How much is it?

Im not absolutely sure if it was 10 or 8 pounds per night
Its clean and directly next to the student union. Nice showers and so on...
The total opposite of the hostel I stayed in London, allthough its also been very central.
But take care that you arrive before 12 am as they are closing for 5 hours and you cant check in until 5 o'clock if you arrive later than about 12 am.
(Not sure 'bout the times, but you could phone them if your interested in it)

Thanks

I'm not worried about quality really, only price. I have stayed in a £5 a night place called the ho ho hostel and i doubt i'll see as bad as that any time soon!
Hey everyone. I'll be visiting on Wednesday.

Quite excited.

Yeah thats exactly the way I think about it. I simply cant afford to go to a 5 * hotel
Where was this "ho ho hostel"? Once I stayed in London for some days at the Picadilly Backpackers hostel  and I would never go there again!

As in in Inverness?? Ha ha, everytime I walk past there, even though you can't see inside really, I think it looks so miserable.

Yeah

It's an absolute cesspit, the "toilet" wouldn't flush and the sinks didn't work. When i went into my room some guy was there rooting through my friends stuff and just wakling up the steps was a serious risk to your life

The inverness youth hostel is reaaally nice though

That sounds rubbish! From the outside you'd never realise it was that bad. I really doubt I'll ever need to stay in a hostel in Inverness since I live just outside of the city, but I will definitely keep your warning in mind, just incase!

Ooh i forgot there was a massive hole in the wall with all kinds of insects in it, and the one of the beds broke when i sat on it :eek3: bearing in mind i'm 12 stone which isn't THAT heavy.

I kinda want to visit again to still if it's still that bad... this was years and years ago.

How tall are you? I'm 6 foor 5 so that's where my weight comes from

Haha that hostel is automatically not too bad as it at least had a mirror  Mind you I really haven't thought most of the ones i've been in were bad really.

Well last year I worked in the shopping centre opposite it, and the staff room looked like straight over into it, and the only thing I always noticed was that there was this one room where there was always socks and other random clothing hanging out the window! I guess they were drying their washing?!

I thought 12 stone was normal for a guy's weight...so you must be tiny in comparison!
