they have a maximum of 8 days left!!! lushh

It's not an official deadline!!!

Other universities have definitely responded paaast the 31st of March before, because the official cut off isn't til the 5th of May or something ridiculous.

I just hope for all your sakes' that St Andrews aren't that blooming cheeky!

Uff, just received a rejection for Financial Economics. I'm almost a bit surprised to get rejected after being accepted into MORSE at Warwick for which I had definitely expected a rejection due to my 'weak' maths grade and my PS being all for Finance and Econs without ever mentioning Maths at all^^

But well, St A was the only Uni I've applied to which could have changed my mind in favor of studying in the UK, so at least I'm now sure to do law in continental Europe

unlucky mate :frown: atleast your mind is made up now though

I begged a bit for Salvators but said that if they were full I quite liked the look of Regs as well! Am going for a single though, so the odds aren't fantastic!

Uni Hall is probably the most likely if you asked for catered, single room, though it is very possible they'll take into account your begging lol! I really wanted to be in an old hall so I asked for a single room in Regs or Uni Hall and I got Uni Hall, and am SO glad I did! :yep: Although I'm living in the new part, I get the beautiful view of the old wing, but with the advantages of living in a newer building

Good luck! I hope you get what you asked for!!!!

It's just a guideline, they don't have to let you know until the beginning of May.

However, if you have to wait after the end of March for a decision, you have until some time in June for you to make your final decision (instead of some time in May)

Did anyone else get rejected and request feedback? I requested feedback at the end of February and have heard nothing. Shall I contact them again?
Bucky!

I know this, it's essentially what I said
It was my advice to someone waiting haha!

Keep pestering them. I had the same from Imperial, but my email was sent in November, and still nothing now :stomp:

Yeah I finally got my last decision  Now I can firm St Andrews
When did those who have firmed St. Andrews get their accommodation forms? Was there anything else, like an offer pack?

(Can you tell I'm impatient? :P)

I think I'll put standard single & catered - it'd be nice to be in an old hall, but I suppose with that criteria it's pretty unlikely. Uni Hall would be great, though, and I actually quite like the architecture of Andrew Melville... think I'm probably alone in that! So I'll really be happy wherever I go, as long as it's in St. Andrews!

No, there was no offer pack - just a brief guide to the residences (same information available online) and the form.

I got an offer pack in January right after I got my offer.
The accommodation form was included in the offer prospectus they sent us

I haven't looked at the offer pack yet then! Didn't even realise that we had received one - sorry snowrockandice for misinforming you there! - might be to do with the fact that I was on holiday when the forms came and so it was opened by my mum first...

Will have to investigate!

The offer pack was rather swish, and had a booklet with info on residences and such, + a form
Thanks - I haven't heard anything from them since I firmed, so I'll wait a few more days and then perhaps send them an E-Mail.

bibliotheque, were you one of the people from this thread who went to the most recent open day? Pictures pictures pictures!

Hm... maybe I did see it then and not realise it was the offer pack!
I found the pictures online of the residences much more helpful than the ones in the booklet though! Did the booklet contain any important information?

Yes I went to the most recent open day and met Alexandra there!

Unfortunately the only pictures I took were about three on the beach. After the first ten minutes I forgot about the camera and just tried to take as much in as possible by being there. However, before I went and cancelled my FB account for lent I found the St Andrew's groups on there had really good photos. I definitely recommend taking a look if you've got an account.

Its just been a booklet with information how to response to your offer and the deadlines and so on.
You should read it but the accommodation guide didnt really give any further information which hasnt been already mentioned on the website.

No problem - I'll have a look at the St. Andrews groups on Facebook
