I finally got an answer from St Andrews.

I'm not joining you guys :frown: Not enough spaces or something like that. A bit of a bummer, but I'm sure Glasgow will be just fine

Oh no, sorry to hear that :frown: One Swede less :frown:

Still nothing for me.

Sent them an e-mail now asking for when I should expect a decision.
Good idea Henry JW.
I honestly don't understand why it takes them so long to process applications. Leeds who get among the most applicants per year got back to me with an offer within 3 days.
I'm assuming they're just making everyone wait for rejections now, if they gave out a ton of offers now how would they expect people to arrange to get to a post offer open day so quickly?
I'm getting so sick of track too, all my friends had their track process over and done a long time ago..
Is it just sloppy admin or do they enjoy making people wait as some kind of absurd test?!
Sorry, rant over.

I know exactly how you feel. :frown: still debating the Extra thing tho. Can you still hold an offer and go through extra? and do you have to wait for all your offers.... my unis are still making me WAIT!!! :frown:

You cannot hold any offers when you go through Extra; you either have to decline all offers/withdraw an application to a university and then you can make one Extra choice at a time.
I got rejected for Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry :frown:
Gutted - it was my first choice.

Depends on department.

Sorry to hear u got rejected asymptote :frown:
Well I sent them an e-mail at school today and got a reply a few minutes later.

It was just some generic response unfortunately. Something like 'we aim to make every decision by the 31st blah blah blah'

Well, i've applied to Lancaster through Extra. Incase I realllly want to go to uni this year. But, depending on grades in August, I might take a gap year and see if I can't get into St Andrews second time round. My AS grades werent great, so that probably explains the rejectionsss. But going back with AAAA/AAAB might give me a better chance.

I thought i'd be really upset...but I just feel...empty, which is possibly worse.

Not all is lost! you still have St. A's to save you  some of my friends have been rejected from all of their medical schools, and they have better grades than me. Think everyone needs a bit of luck

Omgz :frown: *hugs* whats your plan now?
Two of my friends just received their last two rejections. One had AAAAA and didn't get into Maths or Chemistry. The other had AAABB and was turned down for both Chemistry and Physics.

It really isn't looking good. Have they given out any offers lately?

I had AAAAA and didn't get into chemistry and my best friend with AAABB didn't get into physics. It's mental!
Gosh that sounds a bit scary :|
I'm glad I only need AAB :s-smilie:

EDIT: Before anyone says it, I know you're particularly on about Highers grades, but nevertheless
