Congrats!

Thank you:wink:. May I ask about your conditions to St Andrews? Mine is BBB, which I find quite low for such a popular course.

Yeah it seems to be quite low.
My offer was equivalent to AAA or AAB and it didn't include an English language Test.
Do you have any other offers besides St Andrews?

I dont understand it... I wanted to put St Andrews as my firm and sth lower as an insurance. But it seems like it's not necessary now:smile:. I've got an offer from Dundee too. Waiting for Edinburgh, Warwick and Westminster. Have you heard from all 5 unis?

Do you think St Andrews will require IELTS? It's strange they don't include it in their offer conditions.

As far as I know, if it's not stated in the conditions, it's not required, but I'm not 100% on that
Ekpyrotic

Can you think about a reason for such an offer? But I think obtaining BBB won't gain me a place there. Or yes?

I'm sure that you dont have to take the IELTS if they dont include it in your offer!
Some St A. applicants posted that their offers include the IELTS and they have to achieve a certain result in the IELTS to fulfill their offer.

Btw you arent doing A levels, are you?
Maybe they arent really aware of your school system and didnt realize the low conditions.

I'm doing Czech Maturita and as we have grades 1-5, my condition is to reach the average of 2 in Maturita. Which means I could get a grade of 3 (=C) as long as my average is below 2:confused:??

Nice o_____o I got really high conditions! Average of an 8 in all my 18 subjects (8 = A) and a 9 in Ancient History or History (so ABOVE an A). Not extremely worried about it, but now that I compare it to your conditions... wow.

fg08, what is you offer exactly?
I'm still waiting for a reply, my predicted grade is a good deal better than the grade they told me the minimum asking rate was but it would be nice to hear what other applicants' offers are

I dont know why that is mabye they don't get as many applicants. They said they usually offer AAB/AAA.

My friend got an offer for Biology there for AAB and she didnt even have an interview, her AS-grades are worse than mine maybe it was due to her doing a language at AS i dont know. I also emailed the admissions tutor (in november), but i still haven't received a reply the snobby-nosed **************** But anyway im still waiting for a reply frm St A's!

Hey my offer conditions are to obtain 1,3 in the Abitur.
Which course have you applied to?
If you don't mind me asking, what are your predicted grades?
Reply 576
I have applied for Financial Economics.
I am predicted 1.4 overall with 14 in Econ, 13 in Business, Maths, English, Spanish and Sciences respectively, with German being my worst subject this year (11), last year in the Fachhochschulreife I had a 14 (15 in the final exam-.-). the rest are 12..

before applying I sent them an email and they said 1.6 was the minimum for the course. so I do stand a chance, but with a 1.3 I would be feeling much more confident

congrats on your offer btw! and your academic achievement

Im currently holding an offer for International Relations, which is the most competive course at St Andrews, so I guess the entry requirements for your course should be lower!
Good luck with your application!
What are your other uni choices?
Do you allready have any decisions?
Reply 578
I hope so!
Thank you!
I have also applied to Warwick - MORSE, UCL - Statistics, Economics and Finance, and Cass - Investment & Financial Risk Management + Banking & International Finance.

I don't have any decision yet... but I've sent off my UCAS form just a week ago
Just got Economics and Philosophy (ABB) from St Andrews
Was quite excited. But I have more expectations for LSE. arghhhhhhh
