Give me 3 Adv Highers il still get the same grades with the same amount of effort
Debate is good!
Anyway im still waiting for a reply from St. A's meh!
Well if you say so, but statitiscally someone is far more likely to get 3 A's at A level than 3 A's at advanced higher. You can't retake parts of the course and it's all in one exam as opposed to having modules.
4 people last year in Scotland got 4 band 1 A's at advanced higher. I'm sure there were far more than 50 who got 4 90% + A's at A level last year (that's accounting for scaling) and I don't think we scots are intrinsically stupid or anything.
I don't think it's all that disputable that they are slightly harder considering universities offer lower for them.

Stats say one thing, but looking at the past papers for Adv Higher Maths and Chemistry i wouldnt say its any harder at all. All of it looks familiar to me.

Well you can ignore the evidence if you want to...

I must be an exception to your "evidence" then
@Tasha / Michael - Deffo ask for feedback before its to late! You'll beat yourself up if u dont, im still waiting for feedback from Imperial...2 months ago lol
If anyone's applying fro English and History of Art, have you heard anything yet? Bad luck to everyone who have been rejected for their courses.....it sounds like its realy stiff competition this year, and good luck to everyone else.
Yeah ... does anyone know how to go about requesting feedback?
Just ask if you can have some feedback on your application and ask for some more details about why you were rejected, don't be scared you do have a right to know anyway.
Meh, unlucky! Are you going to ask for actual feedback? I don't know whether or not to bother!
You should definitely ask for feedback. I actually appealed against the decision and they offered me a place for the following year. So if anyone here was rejected but especially determined to get into St Andrews then this might be an option!

So I should just email the modern languages admissions office, saying 'Would it be possible for me to get feedback oon my unsucessful application?' ?

I've heard people having decisions reversed but i think thats very extreme action they take if they do feel they have made a mistake. Yeah what you said is fine, if you can try email a specific admissions officer and also ask for some more details as to WHY you were rejected. It is up to the discretion of the university how much they tell you, but UCAS are supposed to be implementing something where it forces the university to tell you if you request, atleast thats what my tutor told me.
Got an E-mail saying i'm being offered a place for physics Track hasn't updated but they said they'd been absolutely overwhelmed with applications hence it taking so long. Now that's out the way there's the small matter of deciding where to go XD
