As far as I'm concerned:

St. Andrews > UCL > LSE > Warwick

Even if I get an offer for LSE, I'm still going to pick St. Andrews. I might put it as my insurance (even though it would be a higher offer) as a laugh.

My St. Andrews offer is actually my lowest, at 37 points.

Probably New Hall, but for self-catered. It's en-suite and right next to the gym... and thats all I need, as far as I'm concerned. lol
You?
Anyone thinking of Chattan or St Salvator's? Or even St Reg's?

I also thought about an ensuite room but I cant afford it so Im going to catered accommodation and a standart room. But I definitely dont wanna goto Fife Park or Albany Park.
I really need the "Hall" feeling and its way to far from the centre of the town.
I would love to go into University Hall cause its near to the sports centre and still in the town.
But Im not that sure about the catered food there :s-smilie:
Have you already visited St Andrews?

Yeah I visited in Nov, iirc, and I'd been before when I was young. Lovely place!
I need to be self-catered, because I'm a bit of a fitness freak and need to have complete control of my diet.

Yeah I understand you
Im also doing a lot of sports and I really hope that St Andrews has a strong volleyball team. Do you know the price for the gym or we just have to join a sports club to have access to the gym?
That would be great
But Im really looking forward to the skydiving facilities in St Andrews.:eek3:

Um on my thread "Gym, pianos and debating in St. Andrews" someone posted a link to the sports centre website with all the prices. It's a pay-per-entry system, if I understand correctly... but I calculated would still be a lot cheaper than my current gym when going 4 times/week.

SKYDIVING IN ST. ANDREWS?! I'M IN!

It looks like I'll be choosing the cheapest accom available, unless a pot of money falls from the sky :frown: Although I haven't worked out any budgets or anything yet...

St Salvators looks lovely

It does doesn't it
But Chattan seems the most 'Hogwartsy'
All of the old ones are def the nicest,
Alexandra1234567
Congratulations on the offer then,

And, just to clear it up I don't dislike or criticise Edinburgh at all, let alone cos they rejected me...I was made aware by some people of the risks and rumours about their selection process before I applied, and I took the risk (and obviously lost out, ) But I did before, and still do think it's a great uni

EDIT:Oops, I did criticise, but like I said not cos of the rejection alone

well.... i was warned about how edinburgh really like scottish things, so i had a whole paragraph in my PS about why i wanted to study in Scotland and all about my love for Scottish authors - maybe that helped me get in

If you want to choose the cheapest accommodation you should choose Fife Park or Albany Park but they are both selfcatered and a "long" way out of St Andrews.

Yeah would be great to have someone up there to go skydiving.
Its just about 4 miles to the next dropzone and the fare for one flight is about 18 quids which is reasonable.

See I was warned too...but apparently that opinion isn't allowed

But it won't have just been that why you got in of course:smile:
BTW - if anyone's going self-catered, especially at New Hall - I'm a really good cook, and will cook your food for you if you buy ingredients and I'm allowed to have the extras
