St Andrews really do take their time. >_> I don't know whether I want to go to Glasgow or St Andrews actually, I'm totally torn, but some kind of response from them would probably help. At least we'll know by the end of this month, right? :P

Good luck
Im not sure about St Andrews but another university sent me an email that they will give out most decisions until 20th march.
I hope you will all get some good response from them

Ergh, the wait is killing me. The same thing happened to me last year: no offers, waiting for andys, wanting andys soooo badly and then a cruel rejection mid march. This year I have an offer for Newcastle but I would much prefer St Andrews. I have AAB at present in English, French and History but I'm resitting the History, so hopefully that should be AAA and I'm also doing a whole Politics A-Level in my gap year so really i should end up with four A's. Alexandra, I see you're doing pretty much the same subjects as me, I don't want to be rude but what did you get at AS? I assume you're predicted AAA? I've applied for anglaaiiss as well

AARGHHHHHH

Haha don't worry  I got AABC at AS, predicted AAA!
Ahh, it's so hard for everyone waiting I bet :frown:
I was hating the wait myself!
Still waiting, still hoping, still thinking I have no chance!
Why does it say that?

For english the standard offer is AAB, that was the offer I was made :s-smilie:
Did everyone else get the email about scholarships today?

I just tried to apply but I think there's some bugs (or it might just be me..!), there isn't enough space in the box for my ucas number, and when I tried to submit it said that I need to fill in my surname which I already had done! Has anyone else had problems with it?
Nope...All I got from them today was leaflets about me going up to visit soon
OH WAIT

I just got that email
Damn, is there no point applying for the scholarship if parental income is way above the £55,000 they mention?
They said like 'most go to household incomes less than £55000'

So I don't think there's much point trying,
but I might anyway? I mean, all they can do is say no, but I might be one of the lucky few who get it above that

Hm I'll have a look at the form and see how annoying it's going to be to fill in... I'll do it if it's not going to take too long or pry too much information out of my parents' accounts

I guess I dont have a chance to get a scholarship as Im an EU citizen :frown:

From their website:

For results obtained over two or more examination diets (whether through a deliberate spreading of the workload, resits or the decision to pick up an additional A-level): AAA at A2, including an A in English.

Offer seems very unlikely!

That's quite harsh :|

Do they do that to discourage it then? The more than one sitting of exams etc,...cos they might see it as 'spreading of workload'?

fg08, another uni I got offers from stated explicitly that qualifications equaling AAA are considered on an individual basis... So scholarships for non-British students seem not to be an impossible thing

I have no idea. At least it shows I'm doing something with my gap year. Just above that they said they welcome reapplications because it shows determination, it's proper blagged me.

It is very contradictory...But just see what happens I guess
