International relations and Philosophy.

I don't even know why I love one subject then find out it's the most competitive course in the whole university after I've fallen in love with it. :/

I have absolutly nothing to say in my personal statement that would make someone actually want me in their uni..

Heey, don't say that. I know that isn't true.
Agree, I'm totally intrigued by the subject . I hope I get offer from any of my choices. I'd be delirious .

If you want, I can look at it as mentioned. (You don't need to worry, I've already sent mine in). I gotta rush quite soon, but you could PM your msn or something.

PM'd you, any help is good, I'm expecting a total slagging haha.

Biochemistry '09

Any other biologists out there?
Applying for art history '09, not sent off my application yet, still waiting for my reference but hopefully it should be sent next week.

Does anyone if they look on you more favourably if you already have your A-Level grades? I'm really hoping for quite a quick reply as well but I know that St Andrews are notoriously slow for offers.
Hey guys.

Haven't dropped in, in a while. I wish you all luck with your applications and hope to see you all next year.

Jordan.

(EDIT: No physics-and-philosophy-ers?)

I applied post A-Level too, but I still had to wait until February before receiving my offer!:yep: Wasps26 (she's lurking round TSR somewhere :p: ) also applied with grades in hand and she had to wait longer than I did.:s-smilie:
So, expect a long wait, but don't worry! Best of luck!

Yes I'm a lurker, a shady character alright...but then you walk around with no clothes on and then advertise it on facebook so....

(Don't trust Chester kids he's crazy high on drugs...)

But yes he tells the truth this time, I applied in mid October if I remember correctly, and had to wait until (checks e-mails from ages ago) mid Feb, but then again that was pretty good as the History applications came in March the year before and the majority of them came in March for my years entry to...however, I have no idea whether or not that had anything to do with the fact that I had my grades already. :frown:

Oh and by the way the stuff I said about Chester was wrong, apart from the clothes bit, which was once.....he's one of the coolest guys in town and does the best fake American accent! :yep:

  Don't tell them about my lack of clothing!! Sssshhh!:colondollar:
I might accidentally slip up and tell everyone you fancy the pants off our philosophy tutor:yep: ......but I wouldn't do such a thing!:nah:

So, yeah, I suppose I should enter something somewhat related to the thread....umm....pretty much, don't expect to hear a THING from St. Andrews between sending your application and the beginning of March! It generally seems to be that Americans and other internationals may receive offers before that, so sit tight for a few months yet if you're a plain old UK A-levels applicant like Wasps and me were.:o:
Do NOT panic if you receive decisions from all your other choices and haven't heard anything from St Andrews, it's just the way they do it here.

(You're my buddy really Wasps!:hugs:)
Applying for second year entry physics here

Hey, dont worry, I've been dropped by two of my choices!

I am hoping for St.Andrew's to give me the chance as well... In fact I would just love a place from any of my applications!!!
