St. Andrews Applicants 2009 (deferred 2010)

i can totally relate, haven't heard from St Andrews or Durham yet but their my last hope it doesnt seem that high grades are good enough anymore...pfft.
really? how silly of your teachers. tut tut lol.

Don't worry, just stay positive! Durham are being ridiculously slow to everyone and St Andrew's seem to be similarly sporadic with their offer-giving . Which is your favourite out of the two?

Haha, no I think it was probably my fault more than theirs. I was extremely late with everything as I only switched to English at the last minute from history! Just got my UCAS in by early October by the skin of my teeth. Cutting it super fine indeed!

wow lol i sent mine off first week of Dec because i decided Cambridge wasn't for me, competition vise and my GCSE's grades suck!

lol i'm really freaking out because everyone else has their offers and so on i haven't actualy applied for history i do A level history tho. i decided that psychology had a better future the last minute and changed it but defo thinkin of doing history as a second, cause in Durham you can do one other and St Andrews you have to do 3!
il take it you do Alevel history too then? what other alevel do you do??

It's not all to do with GCSEs though - I know a guy who got in this year on a couple of BTECs! And in terms of ratios it's less competitive than others!

I live in a really big town, which is about 60% ROUGH.

I was feeling brave/grumpy though!

AAB is very doable. I did very little work for A2s, but that was much, much more work than AS where i was just a complete mess. Not being arrogant or anything but it can be done easy, and Andys clearly think your up to it, so just knuckle down
