There was a woman commentator on our feed here in the states that was doing a good job covering things in gymnastics. She explained things very thouroughly.

I watched the Olympic broadcasts on HK Open TV, TVB and ViuTV.
I think Viu did the best, really clear explanations and the commentators always like freaking out when HK wins a medal.
I always enjoy Simon Brotherton and Chris Boardman in the cycling to be honest. I appreciate it when they are realistic about the British chances.

Matt Baker, Christine Still and Craig Heap for gymnastics. Great explanations and really positive about every competitor, not just TeamGB. Worst Gabby Logan, Denise Lewis and Michael Johnson. So boring.

I love the HK commentators on TVB (81) as well. I watched their broadcast of table tennis.
Whenever HK scores in table tennis bronze medal match today, they will immediately scream "Oh! Another point for us!"
They also interviewed the three triumphant players after the match, alongside their coach. The coach also won an Olympic medal in 2004.

Christine Still in particular is wonderful. :yep:

I would describe Denis Lewis and MJ as pundits rather than commentators - and Gabby Logan is more of a host. For Athletics I just miss Brendan Foster. I enjoy Colin Jackson's co-commentary on the sprint events though.

Not entirely sure why Andrew Cotter needs to be there. :hmmmm2:

And now, the outright best commentator goes to Grace Lau's brother on TVB J2 (channel 82). The channel broadcast the karate women's kata bronze medal match. The studio freaked out and gave Grace Lau three rounds of applause when she won. Her brother left a very great message for her.

I love Colin Jackson, he is so enthusiastic and happy all the time.
