Anyone given an offer or interview or anything?

Anyone studying the English lit. with Creative Writing? What do you think? How good is it compared to i.e. that at UEA etc...

Had no idea Warwick even offered creative writing! In 3 months here I have not met a single person doing that. Guess it's quite good, doubt you'll get an interview as arts subjects don't seem to interview generally (don't quote me on that!). Suppose it's very competitive so you'll get quite a high offer, but I guess you knew that! Sorry, that's all I know, if I meet anyone doing it I'll get back to you.

Really?! In that case, the ones that get in must be a very studious, hard-working lot. No wonder I've never met any of them!

I applied for straight english and i had an interview at the end of Jan. I think it was just eng and eng+theatre studies ppl there thou so i dunno if theres another interview sate or anything bt i think that they do interview all eng ppl (from what ive heard).

loadz ppl havent heard anything back (like me) which is really SCARY! and some ppl who didnt get interviews havent been told theyve been rejected so i guess some ppl are just too gd for even an interview......maybe...

No, most people won't have heard yet for english lit... it can take up to six weeks to get a reply. And Warwick don't make offers without interview as far as I know - there's still another round of interviews to come at the end of the month so perhaps those who haven't heard anything are being considered for those (sometimes there's only 2/3 weeks warning).

Creative writing people had interviews in February last year - I'd think it would be the same this year.

They actually interview all English thread candidates that they consider giving a place to which i think is around 40-50% of applicants.
I got an offer for English Literature and creative writing it involved an interview and a portfolio of around 16 pages of work (though mine was under this and they didnt seem to care)
it looks like a great course but if your worried about getting in i would recommend thining about somewhere like Cardiff or Exeter as you can also do creative writing modules as part of your overall English Lit course.
hope ive helped
