Do you mean from uni to where you will be living during term time or between your family home and where you’re living for uni?

Then three hours isn’t really that big of a deal is it. If you were planning on returning a lot then that would take away from your socialising/studying time. But you shouldn’t really choose a uni merely based on how far away it is from your family home.’

I'd say it's a long way if you plan to return home frequently. If you're only planning to go home on major university holidays (Christmas, Easter, summer etc.), then it's not bad at all.

Hi! rxrx2004

3 hours isn't far to get to uni if you don't plan on travelling home often.
Most people only travel home during the holidays at Christmas, Easter and back for summer. Or if there's a reading week and they're usually between September and Christmas, then another between new year and Easter.

I hope this helps!
Best wishes
