Not sure how to elaborate on that question.

I am explaining my first year at university and am trying to stay on an academic level. Should I talk about specific assignments, and explain what they were about and what I learned? Or not?

Yes. But don’t recite the curriculum. Talk about what you enjoyed, what was difficult, your approach to the work, what surprised you, what you were pleased with, what you would have done differently with hindsight. Make it personal to you.

Thanks. Should you talk about the specific mark you received? Like how I could have got a much better one etc

I wouldn't go into details but you can reflect on what you would do differently

It's so difficult to condense all of your major reflections into just 600 words
