Honestly, I have immoral, disgusting thoughts (sometimes illegal too). I don't think I'm a sane person, I don't think I should bother with relationships and all that. If I spoke to someone about my thoughts I'm sure I'd be a piece of brown **** behind bars. I genuinely don't know what to do. I'm 17 if that has any relevance.

It depends what the thoughts are. I think about murder but that's perfectly normal.

Unless you're thinking about certain types of porn, then you should see a psychologist.

You are 17 going through a weird time in your life, believe it or not our society (well sane people atleast) understand that thoughts and feelings aren’t in our direct control (be it wanting to kill someone unironically or you are attracted to dogs or something). No ones going to prison for thinking something no matter what it is, even expressing you have them won’t get you in trouble (with the law anyway).

Best you can do is understand you have those thoughts for one, not act on then (unless you do wanna end up behind bars) and find trustworthy people you can be open with and seek help. Some people are awful and will tell you to die (ironically thinking they’re acting virtuously) but these aren’t the people that are gonna help you on this journey and dealing with said issues (whatever they are).

I know this may not be a serious thread but still worth noting.

I mean I suggest getting help from a psychiatrist or a doctor before you act on these impulses or thoughts that you're having and I hope you feel better soon

I don't know if this helps you somewhat but I was really messed up between the ages of 15-19 and in my early 20s improved a little bit and then really matured between the ages of 22-23

If you feel like the time is right to get help - definitely get help from your GP etc don't be at all ashamed of it better safe than sorry

Lots of people have intrusive thoughts, it's something that can't be helped and there's nothing inherently wrong with it as long as you don't act on those thoughts. Are you diagnosed with anxiety or depression? Cause it's very common for people with those conditions to have those kinds of thoughts.

Not diagnosed but I think depression and social anxiety are likely.

Well as another 17 year old, I'd say I feel that way too sometimes, and it's normal and it's fine as long as you don't go out and do crazy stuff you shouldn't which might hurt others. If you wanna talk, I don't mind listening.

PS. I feel like this is why humans haven't learned to read each others thoughts yet, I'd get locked up if people knew the things inside my head too 😂 Survival mechanism maybe

Thanks for the reassurance. I think I'm quite impulsive, that could be my downfall (nothing to do with the Hitler film).
