Hello,

is anyone here exempt from council tax as a full time student? and if so, have you ever been charged council tax during the holiday period?

I have never been charged for council tax, if you are a full time student renting accommodation, you should not be charged whether during a holiday period or during term time. As you are exempt by the government’s standards.

I wasn't even charged council tax while I was on a medical intermission/interruption of studies (I did PAY council tax during that period, but afterwards they notified me I wasn't due to pay and refunded me the amount I paid in that tax year. The two months I paid in the previous tax year, alas, I was not refunded....) and I don't recall having to pay council tax out of term either.
