I don't understand her

She sends me something she drew last night, I say oo that's pretty good. She gets mad at me saying just "pretty good"?. Apparently either I don't care or don't like her art by that response. She then has to point out her male friend said it was amazing, and he's more supportive than I am.

Can anyone advise me here, what is she trying to do, I thought her art was pretty good so I said it was pretty good. What am I doing wrong?

You've done nothing wrong it seems she expect more words from you?

She might be more interested in your feedback but, she didn't find it appropriate to her liking causing her to comparing which is stupid.

You have done nothing wrong. She’s just taking it the wrong way I guess.

she’s trying to make you feel bad for saying that response.

in situations like these, make sure you don’t give in and change your response. Understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

I would say that she respects you more now.

"Oh wow that's excellent", "Meh", "It's pretty good"... you'd always get the same response from these kind of people.

She's insecure.

Some friends bought this plant for an old flatmate. Girl I'm sort of seeing asked what I thought and as soon as I said "Yes it's alright" she was like "OmG iS tHat it?". Don't change your mind, don't say "Actually it's really good"... just ignore it.
