He could be seen as unforgiving. He does not give people a second chance.
I suppose this changes throughout the course of the book through his interactions with Elizabeth in that he becomes less judgemental, alhough, his view of Wickham proves to be correct.

Yes, exactly. It also speaks to his more general rigidity and inflexibility, not just in matters of character - it's black or white, on or off for Mr D.
