there are many threads about the different colleges and what might be seen as a pro to one person might be a con to another.

Are you asking this because you are aiming to apply for undergrad via UCAS in October? If so, the best way to narrow down college options is to think about what you from your Cambridge living experience! Think of a college as somewhere you will do much of your eating, sleeping and socialising :yep: As such, ask yourself what factors in your living experience are important/high priority for you. For example (once you've eliminated colleges that don't offer your course), ask yourself whether you have preferences regarding:

old college v new college
mixed college v female-only college (if that's relevant to your gender)
big college v small college
nearer the city centre or further out

Also things like:

extra college-specific bursaries
kitchen/ensuite access
college accommodation for the duration of your course
distance from your faculty
compatability with DoS specialist interests (though this should be less of a consideration imho)
