Label all the women on the planet 1 to 3,822,561,000. Then use a random number generator and select the person matching that number

There's no such thing as "the one".

There are simply people more compatible than others. You might meet them, you might not.

You don't have a line up of thousands to select from like at an auction...

So hypothetically if your wife/significant other passes away, would you eventually move on to another highly compatible individual?

Nuclear decay of atoms to randomise the process of selecting a partner. I use the time difference to select coordinates on Google Maps and then I isolate all females that fit my preferences in that region. After that I keep narrowing the list until there's 2 females left and then I just flip a coin.
