Faecal loading/severe constipation?

I got an xray of my abdomen and turns out the cause of my abdominal pains is chronic constipation and build up of poop in my body. I have been prescribed lactulose and senna but I'm only taking lactulose for now.
Today I went to the toilet 4 times, the 1st time was not good like constipated but the next 3 times was runny and almost like diarrhea.
I do feel a bit lighter but my abdomen is still bloated/protruded and I still have pain.

Will these medicines help or will I die?

A doctor isn't going to prescribe medicines that kill you. Go back to your GP.

Obviously these medicines will help and they already are starting to work, you just have to work out the right dosage for you.
