Effective communication in online classes ?

Is there any difference between the regular style of teaching (in the classroom) and in the online style of teaching in terms of the effectivity of communication? Is one style more effective for example?
yes there is a very big difference in terms of content delivery, when your are in class you physically you will have more attention and concentrate more while your are attending online classes. your attention may vary thanks.
