Heya, I’m a law student at Bournemouth. Things I did included mooting so my A Level law teacher encouraged us to have class moots so we could add these to our personal statements. My college was by the magistrates and crown court so I’d often visited and watch public trials. This is a very good idea as it gives you a sense of how things work in courts and the behaviour of the council. Reading books or listening to podcasts about current legal issues is another good one as you can add a small reference to this in your personal statement. If your school or college has a debate club it might be worth joining that I didn’t have this opportunity at college so if you do it’s another good one to look into! Also make sure to add any work experience you’ve had but make sure it’s relevant. Another opportunity I had was a legal competition I took part in but I can quite remember the law firm that arranged it but it’s another example of an opportunity that would look good on a personal statement! I hope this helps somewhat!
