within reason yeah. if i've got a reason to bitch, i'll go right ahead. but i'm also quite happy to say it to their face, and tend to do so. but i only tend to do so when i'm in a rather foul mood.

everyone bitches at some point, don't worry about it.

I am really proud of the fact that I haven't said a nasty or derogative comment about someone behind their back since year 10, Ever - unless of course the person in question knows I don't like them (because I've told them) I'll occasionally comment, but even then I just think it's... unneccessary? :s

If i were you, I'd just not do it; when my friends used to, I would just listen, and if they asked for my opinion I'd just say, 'I'd rather not talk about them behind their backs, sorry'.

Nowadays, no-one asks me anymore because I'm just known for the fact I don't do it; people respect me much more than they would for joining in, and I have a lot more trust placed in me, because I'll always say something to their face.

I wouldn't worry about it for now, you only did it once and most people do it from time to time, just don't let yourself get into the habit of it. The fact you feel guilty is good  (not for you, but y'know what i mean :P)
I'd think about how the other person would feel if you said that to them though; you know it would hurt their feelings, so is there really a need to say it?

I'm still going to continue my crusade to get everyone to stop being bitchy :P

Very PC.
Well done for having the self-control but everyone "needs" to let off steam sometime...

Hi everyone,

I can understand a situation where 'we' may feel the urge to talk about someone when they are not present. At the end of the day, we all have opinions of others and I guess depending on our personality, (shy, outgoing etc) may have a reflection as to whether we would be the type to do this kind of thing. I may be wrong though on that part.......

I've always been a quiet, shy person and when I was in school (many moons ago, lol) and heard friends talking about others, I just remained quiet, listened and didn't join in. I agree with Lucinda's comments mind, but apart from that I think that if people need to 'air' their feelings about another person who bothers/annoys them in some way (and can't let it go), then it's best to either confront the problem with them face to face or just leave well alone.

I've learned different ways of approaching situations as I've got older and I feel that when you leave school, find employment and mature within your social surroundings, you actually deal with people/work colleagues who may 'irritate or annoy' you in a better manner. I've certainly experienced this myself and did not let anger become the better of me. I know t's hard though.

Maybe I'm waffling............

(Anonymous) - don't fret about it too much, leave it as said and done now, I'm sure nothing will come back to you about it.
