Architecture and PortfoliosWatch this thread
also does anyone know what to put in an architecture portfolio, how many pieces of work and if it has to be just building drawings.
Generally architecture portfolios are primarily not based on buildings. They demonstrate drawing skills and 3d skills and an eye for design.
And thank you, the information about the portfolio has been quite helpful.
The Leeds university course is new and not yet fully accredited (no one has completed it yet and they only took in 8 students in the first year last year) so you’d be a but of a guinea pig. It’s also a heavily engineering focused course (which is why they don’t ask for a portfolio - architecture by numbers).
That might suit you more than a course with a more creative and design focus but it’s going to be difficult to judge with the course not yet fully established.
LBU has been teaching architecture for over 100 years.
