Statement of special educational needs as a mature student?

I want to apply for DSA because I have moderate learning difficulties, but I couldn't find any specific websites that can help me.

I've been to an SEN school my whole school life and of course my official statement is out of date. I still have moderate learning difficulties but when I try looking online for help on how to come about getting an updated Statement, I keep getting directed to websites on how to help CHILDREN with schooling.

Obviously, we don't "grow out of" learning difficulties. I'm pretty slow at times but it doesn't mean I'm thick. I've always been given extra time in exams in school during GCSEs.

It's just driving me mad or I haven't had enough coffee to search properly. I went to a GP asking if I could go through an assessment on if I'm autistic or not because the nature of my learning difficulties isn't specified or named, but the GP said because I'm a woman I couldn't be autistic, so it's understandable that my confidence in GPs is knocked.

I just feel so alone.
