Have had a response on Twitter from Channel 4 and it looks like there's still no way to watch re-runs of events that weren't shown on C4 or More4 but were only streamed live on the website.

I noticed the commentators on the swimming live stream were different to the channel 4 commentators when they played clips on the main shows. I was also a bit perplexed by the live stream commentators being South African and American respectively. So my guess is the livestream stuff is bought-in by C4, but they haven't bought the rights to store that content for re-watching.

Hmm, it's all a bit weird that they're using world-feed commentators on the live streams and their own commentators on the main channels, but it doesn't usually work like that, almost always when you buy the rights to something live, you retain the archive rights to make available on catch-up or use in other programmes, so it looks like a decision C4 have made, because they're sole rightsholder, for whatever reason. That might be storage capacity on their servers or just bad website design, but either way it's quite annoying!
It's weird - I've been watching on livestream but I've recorded everything on C4 and More4 (but haven't watched anything from the tv channels yet).

I've put in a complaint to C4 about their presenters on the wheelchair rugby talking about para-olympics :indiff: https://storage.googleapis.com/paralympicsgb/guide%20to%20reporting.pdf
Just as a counterpoint to the C4 grumbling though, the EBU press release makes for some incredible reading, mostly in how few hours' exposure some countries are giving the Games.

Meanwhile C4 are putting on 1000+ hours of coverage, including across two free-to-air linear channels.

Ooh I’ll tune in then!
I've switched from Channel 4 coverage to the swimming livestream while I do TSR on my main screen, :cyber: enjoying it so far.

But but but THE RUGBY!

Based on the previous matches in the group US v GB was expected to be close or with an edge for US…but GB is actually ahead and looking really good!

I'm an ex-swimmer and swimming coach, so the swimming wins for me I'm afraid.

That's a good little booklet, PQ. Thanks
