Rejoining the military in my 40s!
Hi,
I'm looking to rejoin the military. I'm 43, and was an Army Medic for 6 years back in the 2000s (a whole life time ago), but this time I want to join the RAF.
I was just wondering if anyone else had rejoined the forces, after being out for so long, and what was their experience?

Hi Luke
I'm in a similar position to you. I served 9 years in the RAF from 2002 to 2011. I left as a Cpl and have been working in IT management in civvie street for the past 10 years. I am applying to rejoin the RAF as a commissioned officer. Literally just started the ball rolling this week. I'm 43 next month, hoping that life experience will help me through the recruitment process. Good luck with your journey.
