I would say the most important thing is to pick a degree you enjoy. However, saying that international relations is a good degree, which can lead to a wide range of careers. Graduates in Politics and International Relations from Bath for example have gone onto work for great companies and organisations, including Amazon, American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, Civil Service, Interel, KPMG and Virgin Media and also further study.
You can check out the Politics and International Relations course page at Bath here and you can see the course gives you lots of different skills and knowledge with modules in Research Methods, Political Theory and Social Change. At Bath you also get the choice of undertaking a year studying abroad or a placement year, which are both valuable opportunities.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask
