I'm currently a student at university and I've never heard of them.
I assume this is about accommodation. If so, I would contact your university housing team. They will point you in the right direction of approved housing and accommodation in the area by the uni, whether they are private or halls. This will give the protection that the accommodation is legit and supported by the uni.
