i handed in a first draft of my dissertation yesterday - the deadline was supposed to be friday but trains were cancelled because of snow (i drove in yesterday hence the six hour trip home) - anyway it was only about 70/80% complete and what did my supervisor say?
"Oh i don't care about deadlines - you're the first of my students to hand anything in"

So i could have finished it first then handed it in, i don't like handing in incomplete stuff
(The final deadline is in February)

I just hope it snows heavily on the 15th/16th, forcing them to postpone the exam for which I am properly ****ed, rather than the exam I have a chance of doing well in. Still, 1 exam in December, I'll take that.

Library is open as normal, Stevenson closing at 5pm.
The campus is pretty much dead today compared to what it would normally be like at this time of year. Then again it is absolutely freezing out.
Not looking forward to going in again tomorrow. It's going to be about the same.
Why did they cancel the one exam I'm prepared for?

Saturday exams better be cancelled cos I am mega screwed for that...

That's what they said yet they kicked us out at 4:15! The maths building is now locked too. I live in walking distance so luckily I haven't been able to see what all the fuss is about - is the transport situation really that dire?

Yes. Not even the main roads are clear where I live, it's knee-deep, and there are no trains at all. Apparently Central was absolute chaos today, everything cancelled, loads of people making it half way to work then having to turn back and stuff...

Argh, I should have been in Glasgow two hours ago. As it is, the train's just left Lancaster.

Thank goodness, eh? How are you finding it?

Aye, I could do with the extra time to study for it, although it seems the past week or so could have been better spent on Labour Law. It's a pretty complicated subject, really intricate in parts and loads of cases and legislation to know. Felt I was getting there though, but probably not in time for Thursday. How about yourself?

I'm only in second year, and I'm finding it far more enjoyable than anything else this year (an Adam Tomkins-less Law and Government is not nice :[ ) The class test didn't go too badly for me so I suppose I can take some solace from that.

I was due L&G tomorrow, and the Property MC exam on Thursday morning, so this postponement has been gratefully recieved!

I still haven't retrieved my class test so I don't know how I've done (and I'm quite a poor judge of my own performance).

I was afraid to say I was enjoying IPL because of how difficult it is [and it is far more difficult than any subject I've done before, on a par with some parts of my honours courses], but some of the areas we cover are really good. Was studying International Child Abduction before the email came through- areas like that and domicile can be pretty interesting.

What's happened to Tomkins? And aye, that is a pretty tough schedule you had..

He's on study leave, so we've been left with Sarah Craig and Tom Mullen, who haven't been quite so... coherent.

ICA is very interesting actually. I like the exclusion of foreign law and all of the family law stuff. It helps that it's such a well organised course.
I wanted to do L&G tomorrow and get it over with, I can only remember all these cases for so long :frown:
ive got mixed reactiones to this postonement; tbh i needed the extra time to study for tomorrows exam, but i really dont want to study too much over the holidays.
I'm just slavering **** to get my post count up to 3000 before midnight.
