Urgh, I have to read a book in german by Thursday and I don't understand it, and there's no way I can not read it, as half the exam is on it!

My French teacher was always shocked I understood the French books so well, even the words which had since dropped out of French usage

It might have to come to that, it makes no sense. I have friends who actually are German, and they don't understand it, so I have no hope.

I really shouldn't have left it till the week of the exam to read the text ...
What's the book?
Is WebSurf down for everyone else?
Yep! I assume it's from the maintenance meant to finish y-day

Level 1 English Lit people, wtf are you doing and how the **** are we meant to pass *panics*

I'm going to bank on being able to bull**** my way through the close reading section. That, coupled with a pretty good essay mark, should see me through.

How many writers have you been concentrating on? I've got two authors, two poets and Beckett.

On the subject of the Eng Lit exam, I hate myself. Pledged to start revising at least two weeks before this one after a pretty shambolic December exam, and here I am starting just three days before it (again). :colonhash:

I'll put my list in perspective: I've done Dickens in Advanced Higher, and I see Coleridge and Wordsworth as basically the same person. So, really, I've only got three as well.

Your birthday's on the actual exam date?

Woyzeck

Ooh! It was adapted into an opera by Anton Berg, which we studied in music. So if you like creepy opera music and cba reading it, there's loads of clips on youtube.
