I think my earliest starts this year are 11am, with some days starting at 1pm. I hope the course catalogue is right.

We should arrange another TSR meet for some point during Freshers week. Last years one didn't really work, but we had a couple of others throughout the year.

:ninja:

MyGlasgow won't load for me either

Three, but might be more once they've updated class times for English Language.

I WANT FREE PENS!!!! :woo:

Don't forget the free pizza. I learnt from last year. I will not move from that one spot all week. :colone:

:yep: I have no intention of having to pay for pens next year.

Is it hard to get a freshers pass when you're not a fresher? Last year they didn't ask for any proof, I just had to fill in that form?

Aero 3rd year was fun to enroll for. Dr Green refusing to help anyone who emailed him. Got it sorted though.

I've not even tried emailing him yet. I'm sure he's got our best interests at heart though, just advocates tough love for his students. We can't enroll yet because some subjects don't even show up and others are clashing.

And the uni thought they were improving websurf
Can someone please explain enrollment on MyCampus to me please? I managed to do Academic and Finance Registration and felt computer literate but have just tried a search for 'English Lit' [in my naivety] and now 50 classes have come up and I haven't got the slightest idea what I'm doing...

If you look at the times you should see that some are lectures and some are tutorials. I think.

I used Enrol by requirements but there are two tutorials and a seminar class for Introduction to Lit - I guess I just choose one tutorial and the only seminar?

Ok guys, I feel like the total computer illiterate.

As SAAS is paying for my fees, how do I deal with the financial side of the registration? I cant find any button or option for SAAS payment.

I am so lost....

And a 3rd year, i want to be a fresher again.

[...] It'd be really nice if there was a calender that updated as you added things. Be more helpful than later on telling you there's a clash.

It is just ridiculous. Why do they use a computer for enrolment if we have to check timetable clashes ourselves at the end of the day? After 6 hours and an overnight sleep, I managed to enrol for the first semester. Guess what ... I had to draw my own timetable on a sheet of paper in order to fix the timetable clashes as the system does not allow you to enrol as long as it is not fixed (and who knows whether the system considers fortnightly tutorials/labs/workshops).

Second semester enrolment is not working as the system tell me that I have not met the requirements for chosen courses but I have met the requirements.

That system is just a big fail and time-consuming too.

Agreed! On top of everything else we have to worry about. I'm completely baffled because I think I've got lots of clashes and I'm not sure of the options so I can choose what I need/want to do. Gah, hopefully we will actually get more communication from Glasgow soon to help us out.

When you're going through the financial registration process, there's an option to just put in your SAAS reference number, or confirm the one they already have for you.
Hey, was everyone meant to recieve an email with MyCampus login details on results day?

Still havent heard anything... :s-smilie:
Or am I being paranoid?
Anyone know what happens with clashes? I'm going into second year, but I have to take an extra course in Exploring The Cosmos 1X to make up my science credits, but it clashes with one of my comp sci courses on wednesday at 1pm.

There's no way I actually need to go to that ExCos lecture, I passed 1Y last year going to one or two lectures (out of 5) a week. Anyone know if it can be manually OK'd by your adviser?

Is Eng Lang your degree subject? Or are you doing joint Lit and Lang? I'm second year doing single honour Lang, just you wait, the lecturers are AMAZING!
i'm so confused about everything. we create our own timetables? do we get any advice about all of this? ahhhhhhhh

The system will not allow you to enrol if there is a timetable clash. You will have to go for a different course, I guess. Your idea does not seem to be very clever (not going etc.). You should know that there is usually a compulsory attendance at the Uni of Glasgow. Just go for a different course (there are a lot of Maths and Stats courses you could consider and which will be beneficial towards a Computing Science degree). This one, for example: http://www.gla.ac.uk/coursecatalogue/course/?code=MATHS2025
Please, can someone tell me if Anatomy (1st year) is 3 days at Uni?

I havent either, my offer became unconditional on the 17th. May call them tomorrow...
I feel like Hermione Granger before she got her time turner for the third year of Hogwarts. How can I possibly go to all these interesting lectures and not become a zombie?

Ah, I hope Glasgow actually send us something soon. I hear talk of advisers to plan timetables - not to mention accommodation and reading lists...perhaps these are all beautiful rumours.
