I did it. I would definitely recommend it!

Did you find it challenging? Interesting at all?

Well, at some point it was challenging (especially if you have never had any probability at school) but at some point it was just OK.

To be honest, I came to Uni to read Maths but at the end of this academic year, I will decide whther to do a degree in Stats or Maths. So, yes, it is interesting (at least for me).

My other course are maths and comp sci, wasn't sure whether I wanted to study math or comp yet so stats could fit in perfectly? My first choice was econ but it's full :frown:

Just enrolled now!
Bwuh. I am now academically registered, but can't financially register. It's telling me to contact the bursar's office. I don't know who the bursar is and I can't find out from the website. I don't even have any dried frog pills. HELP.

This is laughable. Still unable to see classes which should be coming up, been reported to IT support with no response. Absolute joke that I am missing out on all the decent times for tutorials.
I'm looking forward to my adviser of studies meeting on Thursday so I'll know what's going on, fo' sho' :colonhash:

I've come with a question: anyone have a list of the English speaking universities that UoG has ties to?
I know it's another year and a half away but I'd like to know my options for the semester abroad.
Does it vary by subject or is it fairly general?

www.gla.ac.uk/international/abroadexchange/exchangeprogramme/exchangeprogrammesoutsideeurope/wherecanyougo/

This is the international list with US, Aus, NZ, Canadian etc. universities, but you might want to look at the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Denmark as some universities provide classes in English.

It does depend on your degree for some universities (whether they offer the course and some are specific arrangements between certain courses).

Also, IIRC from friends who did it a few years ago there is some academic stipulation/competition, although this may have been for scholarships rather than individual places.

Where abouts do I enter the SAAS ref num on MyCampus? When I signed up on myCampus it said that financial part was sorted and my fees paid even though it didn't ask for any info but now it says I owe 1.8k.

If you mean that the field about how much do you owe university was like empty during registration process and you just clicked next and finish without giving SAAS ref number, then I have the same problem. Contacted student services but they seemed not to get the point of this problem, perhaps IT helpdesk can do something.

I'm glad it's having the desired effect
My timetable still doesn't really exist as Eng Lang is still TBA...
I am finally. Finished. Enrolling. Thank god.

All that for two classes - my Honours classes will be enrolled by my advisor. The enrollment bit was really confusing and I had to do it about five times to finish but I am done. Only in Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday as well, and only half a day on Friday
Out of interest, as a student from England, do I claim that the SAAS is paying my fees?

No. I think there's options for different sponsors.

Sweet, thanks man
