The old elevators do that all the time, just take the newer ones. They tend to be less crowded/take less time to arrive anyway.

I thought there were only two elevators in the library :ninja:

There are two elevator towers/sets of stairs and four elevators. To get to the newer elevators, just go through the set of doors that's on the wall opposite to the help desk right before the entrance to the Short Loan section - here's a map. A lot of people just ignore those doors and go straight ahead to the other elevators and that's why they're more crowded.

You're welcome.

Is it? I have a French class on Monday and I haven't heard anything about it being cancelled.

Can you go to your advisor's office? Or is there a phone number you can use? Some of them are ridiculously bad at answering emails. And if that doesn't work, my friend complained about her advisor last year and they assigned her a new one.

Eventually got a reply, it wasn't my advisor that was the problem, I'd emailed the Film&TV Studies course convenor to see if there was room on the course....turns out there isn't anyway so I picked Psychology  just a shame I've missed a week and need to fork out £40 for a textbook two days before payday....:frown:

I want to change my third subject because I hate it..but after 3 unanswered emails I'm not amused!!

Aww is German that bad? Some advisors can be useless, I always had to go in office hours and even then occasionally she wouldn't be there.
You should do Level 2 Italian  Paola has apparently already ruined an entire whiteboard by drawing on it in marker pen

Yup, they did the imperative tense in lecture 1, and speak mainly in German even though it's a beginners' class. Most people in the class have done German before so I feel stoopid having done absolutely zilch! I can't, I didn't do the stuff during the summer and it'd be too much anyway doing 4 culture classes :frown: French and Spanish culture are bad enough, never mind level 1 and level 2 Italian

I miss her :frown:

If it helps I did Psychology 1 without the textbook last year... But if you want to get it, it can definitely wait til after payday

I'm doing Psychology, so if you need to borrow textbook do just ask :yep:

This week you only missed introductory lecture and one on autism and one on sleep which have both been recorded (in theory)

I think my English Language lecture is off. :s-smilie: I heard it's a Bank Holiday or something.
Thought I was preparing well for the start of classes next week, doing plenty of reading, making notes etc. That preparation has been rudely interrupted by a separated shoulder (still unconfirmed, but I'm pretty sure of it). Only takes 6 weeks to heal, but I'll still feel really weird sitting in seminars not making notes and not having the best notes to take into the class...

I think Eng Lang and my Eng Lit aren't happening

But I think my Pyschology is...

Considering I had an exam during the Royal Wedding, Glasgow doesn't care bout bank hols

That's another thing about psychology - I studied the whole course using only the lecture podcasts, no notes or anything. I listened to the podcasts on my laptop, typind notes as I went, and then typed them out nicely at the end of each topic. I got a B overall, and would have been a lot better if my lab reports hadn't gone so horifically wrong.

See I'm studying it not to get a good grade or anything but cos I find it fascinating and it fits in well with Eng Lang :yep:
Anyone doing BSC Statistics?

I met Strathy folk today and they all got e-mails saying the uni is closed on Monday. I have scheduled lectures but I heard a couple of them aren't happening :lolwut:

It would take a nuclear war for Glasgow to cancel anything :colonhash:

We'll see...if I turn up at 9am and find it's cancelled I'll be fuming though!

I have a 10am start.

I only have Eng Lang and Eng Lit on Monday. If yours are off, I'll assume mine are, too :colone:

Well I know for sure that Eng Lit is off, and I'm pretty sure Lang is off, but could be wrong!
