My flat is so ****ing cold but I CBA with the library today.

So going to try and get some stuff read. Hating my life rn :frown:
I had my first lab today :ahee:
My first lab is tomorrow. Three hours on top of an already long day...
Read like 10 pages of Things Fall Apart, which I should have read like a month ago, then gave up. Second year is going SPLENDIDLY!

Are you in second year?

The guys in our tutorial loved Gulliver's Travels, but all the girls hated it. Very odd
Why are some people at this uni so bloody rude? I was in the queue to pay for something in the café in the Fraser Building and this girl elbowed her way in front when it was my turn, then the woman told her she had to queue, and she made a big show of stomping to the back of the queue :lolwut:

Also, people hardly ever say 'thanks' when you hold a door open for them. This saddens me. You're standing there like a lemon as folk file past
And walking really slowly around campus...I have to get from one side to the other normally in like 3 mins cos psychology finishes late and eng lit starts early, it's like get out of my way!
I can't stand people who stand in front of the turnstiles at the library digging around their bags for their matric cards and blocking the way for everyone else. This majorly annoys me!

That'll be me. Sorry about that :colondollar:

And people who expect YOU to get out of THEIR way if they're charging down the street ... and people who link arms whilst walking. I mean seriously, wtf? :lolwut: You're not, like, nine.
The library has been mega busy recently, or is it just me? We've had a few classes there and every time we go the queue goes all the way outside!? :lolwut: My my, some people are keen

The library has been really busy this term, I wonder why. I went in in week two and had problems to find a good seat, actually looked on two different levels. And I wasn't even looking for a computer! I wonder why people are so keen this year?

And people are so slow. I hate walking along University Gardens. why do you have to walk in huge groups? There is just no room. Best tactic I have found so far: when thy walk next to their friends just stop walking, refuse to move out of their way. They look a bit shocked at first (I guess cause they think everyone should move for them) but they do finally move. It just takes so long to get everywhere

I know right? Takes me ages to find a seat. I have no choice though because it's too cold to study in my flat :nopity:

I hate it when people are sitting at a computer without being logged on, and are using their laptops at the same desk, when people are looking for a computer. WHAT'S THAT ABOUT?

I cannot recommend the Zumba class in the gym enough. That is all.

Only reason I'm jelly of science students: they get to wear lab coats.

I really wanna try that zumba class but I have a feeling I'll just look like a tool.

Lab coats aren't all THAT fun, i just use mine as a towel for drying glassware
That reminds me, I haven't washed mine and it's covered in soil...

May I ask why?

There was a guy in my chem lab last year who had obviously used his lab coat in some kind of gory Halloween costume - he rolled into the lab every week covered in (hopefully) fake blood with this weird horrible handprint dragging down the back...

I do environmental chemistry, we had a soil lab last week and I just wiped the glass rods on my left sleeve.
Pretty sure I heard someone talking about that...
