People on the subway today were speaking Gaelic (I think). So jelly :daydreaming:

How odd. I was just talking to this guy on Twitter about how his first language is Gaelic ... :K:

Only one exam for me, but I have been having continuous assessment after continuous assessment thrown at me for the last month or so, with no end in sight. Yeah, I realise that's the point of continuous assessment...

I think it was this boyfriend and girlfriend speaking in these very loud, cutesy Glasgow Uni voices to each other ("You take the seat" "No you take the seat.") :lolwut: I like to think of myself as a reasonably tolerant person, but they were just so false that I couldn't bear it.

Ah, what you should've done in that case was taken the seat after *****ng them around the head with a book.
No exams for me!

I'm very gleeful now, but come April i'm just gonna want to sit in a corner and cry.

Ohhh I see, thought you were like second year :colondollar:
I'm 12th and 16th which isn't so bad  I'm as happy as I can be with these dates, which still isn't happy because I hate exams :P
WTF @ Glasgow lowering their offers. It's now AAAB in one sitting at Higher for an unconditional.

I've never heard of a uni lowering their entry requirements.

I'm sure it was BBBB minimum when I applied... I thought it was AAAB last year... I'm so behind the times with these things :emo:

Hmmm well I was just looking at arts requirements. It's still weird though. If they're so overwhelmed with applicants, why lower the stated grades? Maybe it's because of the fees. :dontknow:

Sorry, I seem only to use this forum to ask silly questions but...

are you putting photographs on your British Council form? It says specifically on one document not to bother, and specifically on another that you must. Hmm

Friend of mine is an English student and when the entry requirements went up he said his tutors were critical of it- maybe inside pressure rather than necessity or concern over applications has forced them down. To totally over-simplify what he was told, the academics were worried they would get people trained to pass exams and miss out on students with more than enough of the creativity and insight that makes a good student.

My flatmate claims that there is somewhere in the uni where you can print stuff off for free. Where is this? I would ask her but she's gone to bed and I've forgotten it :colondollar:

I have an exam on the 10th and 2 on the 15th. The two on the 15th are the important ones as well, this is going to be hard. Although I coped with 3 A-level exams on one day, so I hope I can manage, it sounds stressful though.

Did you see that some people actually left during Donald Mackenzie's lecture the other day? :nooo: I stayed ... even though I was so tired I took none of it in :colonhash:

I don't think I'll bother going to the Redgauntlet one tomorrow. I'm not going to do it for the exam because it's so damn long. :lolwut: I haven't even read it :colondollar:
