Oh that is bad! I take my laptop to the library and have never taken a book out of the library :h:

I would take my laptop into the library, but it is a smidgen too wide for my bag. I wish I was a real student with a macbook, too.

I am gobsmacked you've never taken a book out. I thought English students would be reading at least as much as law students. Probably not textbooks and that, though.

Mine's a macbook :getmecoat:

I should be reading a lot...I just read everything online instead...even if the google book preview is only one page...

 I could have come across really creepy there...

I would genuinely like a macbook though, even if that would make me the same as 90% of the student population.

Fair enough, probably more efficient. I tend to hunt for a book even if I could get it online. Traditionalist me.

I was in a green pod thing on level 3 and there were 5 other people with laptops...none were macbooks...was SO bizarre.

Probably less efficient, I fail at finding stuff but there are never any books left in the library by the time I start essays...

That is odd! I don't think I've seen five non-macbooks in the library anywhere...

I work close to the deadline as well, I need the fear. It isn't great for planning/organising though...

Off-topic, but GU Memes has been copied by my high school and I don't know whether it's socially acceptable to 'like' a page with a target audience of 11-16 year olds....

I know, I nearly fainted, I'm normally surrounded by other macs :yep:

I very much need the fear...although I'm gonna try and finish my essay tomorrow so I can go to HIVe after medics ceilidh then go to essay hand in at 10am mildly drunk.

I think you can like it but hide the like from your news feed

That is an awesome plan (just don't miss the deadline ). I miss HIVe :frown: Always good to have an incentive like that. I'm trying to manufacture some fear for my dissertation, not really working...

That might be a plan! Typing it into the search bar is a pain in the arse (some of them are actually pretty good, and others take pot shots at the parents of a few friends  )

So this started out with you officially hating me, and we have since established you are a macbook-owning, Hive-going, flat-dwelling student. I think my jealousy means the hate is mutual :colondollar:

I'm meeting my supervisor for the first time ever in a few days, it's getting there, slowly

I'm sorry. We do have a spare room in my flat...

Ooo exciting! What's it on?

 don't apologise for being the student I should have been! Don't tempt me, I've already told the 'rents I'm out of here asap...

Exciting, and four months late! Eh, international law/whether States can go to war without themselves having been attacked

Well considering I moved a 7 hour train journey away from home I can't say I would live at home for anything :nah:

How come you got such a long extension?

Ooo actually sounds vaguely interesting!

Yeah fair point!

Not an extension sorry, the due date for everyone is a month. I meant I should have seen my supervisor much sooner (probably). Which I'm sort of worried about.

And yeah, it's one of the few areas of the law that 'real people' can relate to/read about in the news

Not that I don't love my family, just I like my independence :yep:

Ahh I'm sure it'll go fine, if you've managed to write some stuff it'll sound good :yep:

Yeah when my friends talk about law I normally switch off.

It is quite a heinous crime. I seem to have become some sort of library criminal. Received a fine in the post the other day for £25.20. I was appalled at myself. It's what fourth year does to you :frown:

You're in fourth year? Is this your final year? :cry2:

My laptop is massive compared to the cute little laptops people use in lectures. I'm petrified that I'd drop it/spill something on it/it would be stolen :colondollar:

I know where you're coming from. Plus, I can't really hack being stuck out in the sticks much longer.

Fingers crossed

Well, I get my degree after this year but I'll probably stay on and do the Diploma for a year. Far too early to join the real world...

Mind you I think if I end up on my year abroad my parents might actually start to worry that I hate them and just want to get away

Nah you don't need fingers crossed you'll be fine!

 I'm sure they'll understand, just bring them back nice stuff and all will be forgiven

I'm glad you have faith, cheers!
i've lost my university ID and passport at Subclub and today I found out someone took out books on my library card. I've reported my card lost but what's going to happen now?
