Any Mech students managed to enrole on their 1st year courses?
I can see them in my requirements but when I click on any of them I get a message "this class has not be scheduled"
Do I have to wait it out?

I have chosen psychology for my 3rd subject. Is it fine if I take Psychology IA which is of 20 credits and then go for another 4th subject for the remaining 20 credits?

Hey, when I met my offer, UCAS sent me their letter confirming my place and Glasgow Uni emailed me this week with My Campus log in details, which allow you to log on and enrol in course etc. and financial stuff I'm not sure about accommodation (I live in Glasgow so I'm staying at home) but I'm guessing you can do all that either on My Campus or through that email

I got my registration email today, and have been having fun trying to decipher mycampus and get enrolled. I'm a part time mature student, studying Eng Lit and Politics. Where do we find the creditless "Introduction to Academic Writing" course to enroll on it? I'm guessing it's the EngLit equivalent of the core culture course that language students have to take, but I can't find it on mycampus enrolment at all, and I don't want to miss out on anything.

Also, I've just set up a direct debit to cover my part time course fees, but it's still telling me to complete financial registration. I click on the button, but it acts as though it wants me to set up another DD - something obviously I don't want to do, as I don't want to be charged twice each month. Does anyone have any experience of this, does the DD just take a couple of days to appear on your financial information?

Also - if anyone has the EngLit reading list, could you send it my way? I've tried having a hunt online but it's fruitless, nothing comes up!
Ew. Timetable clash. Boak.

That would be fine, I did that in second year - not with Psychology, but I took a different third subject in semester one to semester two.

I thought that intro to academic writing was only compulsory if you failed the computer test? I vaguely remember being told to write a few paragraphs online and if you weren't very good they'd sign you up. If that's the one you mean it definitely wasn't on MyCampus, you were just told when to appear if you failed.
You can go voluntarily I think, but if it's anything like the essay writing lecture that we were subjected to in 1st year CEES it's useless...

edit. 1000th post - wish i'd made it more interesting...

This is just a general question, but with MyCampus on the enrollment page, when I select a course to become one of my classes, it just refreshes onto the Glasgow Uni homepage, and then when I go back to check whether I'm enrolled, it says I've selected nothing!! Is this a major problem, or am I just being really stupid?? Thanks

Edit: I was on the wrong section of the site trying to add courses so it was just me being stupid!

Same, horrible.

Also, first time I've seen the word boak in writing, strange - always thought it'd be spelt boke.
Finally enrolled and everything seems to be fine. Felt so ill doing it :P But I worry too much.
So glad to finally be back in Glasgow.
Can anyone who's a member of a sports team PM me please? Thaaaaaanks

Hehe, it's the first time I've written it. I also thought it would be spelt 'boke' but thought that everyone else would expect it to be spelt 'boak'. Damn you, orthographical angst.

I can now access 'MyGlasgow' so do I have to allocate my credits as soon as possible? I find it a bit confusing if I'm honest...
