even if it doesn't run it looks like there are plenty of others. the n44 getting cancelled is a gutter, it means i have to be home by half past 12 every night

Yeah I phoned and it is cancelled, that map is outdated.
The N44 and N9G were both stopped a few weeks ago, so there doesn't seem to be any going near the uni
Yeah, altho the bouncers do have counters, don't know what they do with them...
I just stick to City Centre tbh, everytime I've been in Viper it's been as crowded as the Hive. Or completely dead. And it shuts an hour early.
Yeah and my halls are in the city centre so theres no need for a taxi back.
Ive been to a few places like bamboo, campus, ocouture and karbon - they all seemed pretty good and all seem to have nights of £1, or just cheap drinks so it isnt too bad
Well the Hive closed at 2 that night as well, and Viper wasn't really busy, loads of people in it but instantly served at the bar vs. GUU 20-30 mins
Tbf, the nights I've been in Viper have been society nights, bound to be packed. And yeah, I meant the City Centre license v Everyone Else's. Sucks, but that's GCC for you.
You need to download the VPN software then configure your browser to go through a proxy for LAN - instructions and download available at http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/it/flexiblenetworkaccess/oncampusaccess/ Think it's flexaccess you're meant to connect to; it's all there anyway!
The download is dead :/ EDIT: Got it, now to test it
What about in the QM? Any idea how to get a u/n and password?
Ask at the porter's office - it's not great signal in the top floor unless they've changed it since last year, but in qudos it's ok. Think the password's cheesy or something, but not been in to use it for ages.
I get pretty decent WiFi signal on my phone on the top floor.. You a member of the QM then?
Yup... only club night I went to last year at the unions was Cheesy, plus Qudos is where the Christian Union meets, so it made/makes sense. Considering getting myself a GU membership one of these days, but not sure if I can be bothered

When/where is the CU? I'm thinking about coming along for a couple of weeks to see what it's like - I have my reservations about it from things I've heard from other unis but I'd like to at least try it.

It's on a Wednesday at 5.30 in Qudos, QM, and normally lasts for a couple of hours, with chat at the start, some worship and prayer, and then a speaker - today someone's coming along from uccf to speak about Ephesians, I think. Then afterwards we normally head to Coopers or somewhere for some more socialising. I found it absolutely amazing last year, have to say, though I know it's not for everyone. More info can be found at http://www.gucu.co.uk, or you can ask me if you have any questions; would be cool to see you there if I can work out who you are (I'm Sarah, btw)
