When/where is the CU? I'm thinking about coming along for a couple of weeks to see what it's like - I have my reservations about it from things I've heard from other unis but I'd like to at least try it.

I know! What lectures are you in? I'm in Boyd Orr B at 10 for History, and Kelvin at 2 for Philosophy.

It's on a Wednesday at 5.30 in Qudos, QM, and normally lasts for a couple of hours, with chat at the start, some worship and prayer, and then a speaker - today someone's coming along from uccf to speak about Ephesians, I think. Then afterwards we normally head to Coopers or somewhere for some more socialising. I found it absolutely amazing last year, have to say, though I know it's not for everyone. Is it true that a first year got stabbed last week? If so, when/where/h9ow did it happen?

Not heard anything, it should've made the papers though. I'll have a check of the Evening Times and Herald sites Stabbings are nothing new, but students aren't really average victims.

Afraid the papers won't have any juicy details though, I don't think.

Actually, after checking the ET site, there was a stabbing on the 22nd Sept on Murano Street. 28 year old man done by a gang, so doesn't sound like that would be it.

Hive was horrifically overcrowded on Thurs night. Never going back unless it changes


At the end of Freshers' I snapped at one of the Hive bouncers, told him to ******* sort out their counting system and not let too many ******* people in. And then walked out without waiting for his reply. :smile:

To crash the CU, we'd need to have an exclusive entry policy... and if we cared about drinks, we probably wouldn't hold meetings in what is normally a club/bar. :p:

Wtf.. We've downed Tennent's and Magic before and had no problems :erm:

In other news: one of my tutorials was moved without my consent and now I may need to kill 5 hours (10-3) every Monday for a whole ******* year :mob: (it also kills other commitments :/
They better fix this :frown:


I have to do that too. Planning to set up some kind of volunteering and stuff, but yeah, it's a pain.

Molecular Biology... Well, Biology, Chemistry and Psyhology this year. My timetable is rubbish :frown:

Don't even get me ******* started on that! I am trying to keep my tutorials to the Monday and Tuesday so i can work the afternoons to you know pay my bills and support me and my fiance. They change it to a sodding Thursday with half an hours notice and act surprised when I call them up raging!
