heyy
idk who would read my blog or why you would read it, but you know if you ever wanna waste you're time then *hii*
This might be a pretty boring blog lmao but I may once in a while have some weird convulsion where random helpful stuff may come out [don't take that in a weird way] for once. so y'know maybe you could stick around for that?

Also for context I'm 15 and will stay this year until the end of August (way to go parents ). I take:
- Drama
- Latin (ik ik it's a dead language)
- Geo
- History
- RS (annoyingly it's compulsory to take in my school)
- and the obv 3 sciences and Maths and English

so yh, let's see what fate has decided for me

✨Bump✨
heyy it’s been 2 weeks and little and a lot has happened between then
A little because it’s school so ig what do you expect will happen
But a lot because it’s like the teachers want us to think of GCSE’s 24/7 ⌛ and yes i get it time is running out and all but still. It’s not tomorrow. It’s not next week. It’s not next month. It’s in quite a few months. We have so much content to learn, to revise, to understand 📖
So it’s not time to stress.

Yet.

Anyway, back to learning. We’re currently doing “Merchant of Venice” in English. Though the book itself (ie the themes) is good - if u get past the annoyeth shakespeareth - it’s for some reason an overlooked book. Like when you look for resources online to study from, so many don’t have MoV. Even BBC bitesize 🤯 like seriouslyy

GCSE Pod (I think you have to pay, but i have my account from my school, so u could ask ur school): https://members.gcsepod.com/shared/p...le/10327/63462

This pdf from online may also help: https://www.chalfonts.org/_site/data...92B81929B6.pdf

Mr Bruff on yt is always ever helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWbXj6p7xhQ

This quiz may also be good for a recap: https://www.educationquizzes.com/gcs...orting-points/

Of course the classic sparknotes: https://www.sparknotes.com/nofear/shakespeare/merchant/
And litcharts: https://www.litcharts.com/lit/the-merchant-of-venice

But the most important thing is to remember key quotes, themes, characters and context… and to PRACTICE. Always do exam papers, practice questions, and if ur able to, then ask ur teacher to mark ur answers and give u feedback. 📑
I hope that helps anyone who stumbles here
