GCSES for Medicine

Do your GCSES play a major role in selection for medicine?
Yeah, here are all the requirements laid out for you, and which medical school needs which. Keep in mind that it’s not only GCSE’s they look at; rather your whole application: A levels, UCAT, interview score, etc.

Hope that helps. :yy:
They’re used differently by each medical school. For example, Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham and oxford are more GCSE heavy while Newcastle or Bristol are more UCAT heavy. Just focus on getting the best grades possible.
