Can I Play in my Hockey Trials While Injured?

On Sep 3 I jumped from a height and landed badly on my left foot. It was really sore for a few days, then flared up again after doing ballet two days ago. I have county hockey trials this afternoon and I don’t know whether I need to pull out. Last night it was so painful that I could hardly wal and I don’t want to damage it further.
Ironically, I broke my right ankle 5 years ago and just thought it was a bad sprain and continued to play on it, which resulted in the destruction of the cartilage in the joint and I’m having surgery for it in two months lol, so that experience makes me minorly apprehensive to play hockey with a sore foot.
I just don’t want to step out of the trials though. My foot is probably only sprained (although I said that last time) and I’d hate to miss the trials for nothing.
