Pink Woshette, her boyfriend, Woshii, Oxford Mum and her son (aka my technical manager) all went to Stratford in search of Shakespeare and his legacy.

We all went in Woshette's gleaming Rolls Royce...

Stratford is dedicated to Shakespeare. You can find images of him and references to his plays everywhere. The skyline is dominated by the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) theatre. No building is allowed to be higher than this one. Here is where you can see his world famous plays.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, there are no indoor performances at present, but a special outdoor theatre has been built outside. Woshii and Woshette were lucky enough to secure the last two tickets to see A Comedy of Errors. It was wonderful, and they laughed in their little Woshy way all the way through..

Several significant buildings from Shakespeare's lifetime still survive, including his birthplace. Here is Woshette looking wistfully outside:

This is the actual chamber where Shakespeare was born. When the guides heard of Woshette's fame and influence, they let her lie down in a recreation of Shakespeare's actual cradle. She looked so comfy, we had to move her, before she fell asleep

And here she is, also allowed to lie down on a recreation bed like Shakespeare's mother would have used to give birth

Here is a copy of the type of bed Shakespeare would have slept in as a child (shared with his two brothers), in his bedroom

Shakespeare's actual bedroom window. Note it has been signed by many famous people. Charles Dickens was one of the many celebrities who donated money to save the house for the nation.
