What is Uni life like for postgraduates?

I'm wondering what Uni life is like for postgraduates (by this I mean postgrads for courses that most people do as soon as they finish their undergraduate degree)?

Basically how social is it, do most people go to freshers week, do people still go clubbing and partying or do most people just not care about that stuff anymore.

I'm assuming for post-grad degrees where many people take a few years inbetween to get work experience, it won't be very social but what about those that are meant to be done straight after your undergrad?

For most people who continue to PG straight after their UG, it's pretty much like any other university academic year - many PGs go to Freshers events etc. but during the term there is probably less socialising due to heavier workloads.

Hey!

Just wanted to check in and see how you were doing? Have you started your postgraduate study?

Here at Bradford, many of our students progress to postgraduate study after completing their undergraduate degree at Bradford. If you'd like to find out how they find life as a postgraduate student please see their profiles here.

You can also chat to some of our postgraduate students directly here and ask for their advice and experience of being a postgraduate student.

I hope that can help answer your questions above and gives you a deeper insight into postgraduate student life

Let me know if you have any other questions

Hello there

I am doing my master in Clinical Applications of Psychology and I feel that my life as a postgrad student is pretty similar to my life as a undergrad student.

I still attended freshers (and got loads of freebies :u:). I joined the psychology society and I some of my friends have joined some sport clubs.

I have lectures only twice a week, so after our lectures we always go for a drink. I feel I am having more fun as a postgrad than as an undergrad student to be fair. I feel that now I know more people, I know the uni better and I am more confident!

I hope that helps!
Best wishes
Andrea
