A-level chemistry

Hi, I have just started AS level chemistry and am struggling with ionic equations, in particular - knowing what state symbol I should be writing and which substances need or don't need to be separated. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Sometimes, the exam questions will hint at what the state symbol is, especially if it is a substance you are not expected to be familiar with.

Have you done any exam questions?

Ah great, I didn’t know that! I’ve looked at a few but my exam board is CCEA so there aren’t many resources online. Thanks for informing me:smile:
