what would you say are the best Unis to apply to for a biomedical science degree ?

excluding oxbridge
There is no 'best' - only the best course/degree for you - ie. that matches your interests, your predicted grades and the sort of Uni (campus/city, big/small) you will be happiest at. This is different for everyone.

Have look at these degrees as examples of the wide variety out there :
Liverpool - https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/subjects/biological-and-biomedical-sciences/
Sussex - http://www.sussex.ac.uk/lifesci/biochemistry/ugstudy/prospectus
Bristol - http://www.bristol.ac.uk/cellmolmed/study/undergraduate/

I was mainly thinking of best facilities that support biomedical sciences but thank you anyway :h:
The University Of Sheffield is a good shout, very prestigious Russell Group Uni in a cracking student city. The Uni's main subject is medicine/biology, and you'll be in the lovely building that is Firth Court.

The best answer so far is the one telling you that YOU need to do some research because only you know what you want.

A very good example is the post by Will_Armo. He has recommended the course at the Uni of Sheffield. It may be a good recommendation for some people, but if, for example, you wanted to be a Biomedical Scientist, then it's a shocking recommendation.

Recommendations without context are just shots in the dark.

Thank you for the advice but what exactly do you mean by "a shocking recommendation" ?

looks nice but I probably won't even be able to apply in 2023 as they don't accept BTECS on their own :frown: (I'm doing btec applied science)

I explained what I meant within my post. It's a baseless recommendation, that could potential hinder you since the poster knows nothing about you.

Just to clarify, it was just a suggestion of a good BioMed university. Obviously people want different things from their experiences. You should enquire about the BTEC situation to student admissions if Sheffield was somewhere that took your fancy - if you don't ask you'll never know.

It wasn't a dig at you, more of a dig at the question. The forum is littered with questions of "Which Uni is the best", which is a far more complex question than many seem to realise.
