so i spend literally all the money i get from parents and work and i realized i need some sort of budgeting/saving. especially since i'm going uni next year i need some money.
i have seen the rule where u spend 50% on needs, 30% on wants and 20% on savings. but i realized i don't actually have "wants", since i don't pay bills, do grocery shopping, etc.
wondering if anyone else has a good "rule" to save money.

Bills and groceries are needs, not wants.

And if you don’t have any of “needs” then save that amount too and still only spend the 30% on “wants.”

Open a second account and put money away whenever you get paid/given money.

Find out about freebies etc. For wants, try out free services like Duo-lingo instead.
