I live in the UK and I saw the US ad for the iPhone 13. The pro max is 1099 dollars while its 1049 pounds here. These conversion rates aren’t the best if you ask me as 1049 is round 800 pounds.

Does anyone know a method of some sort of buying it in America and shipping it here? will the software work with the uk and its carriers? etc. Thanks

The Pro max is 1099 USD, which, as you state, is about £800.

What you fail to understand is that $1099 is Pre-tax pricing, while £1049 is post-tax

So yes, the Pro max is 1099 USD, or about £800... Before tax.

Now slap on 20% tax to that price
Then slap international shipping costs onto that price.
Then the 20% tax on that as well
Then insurance
20% on that too

In other words, you won't save nearly as much as you think you will.

I was looking around in regards to that, but most sources seemed to point to mobile phones not being subject to duties. Perhaps I have just looked up the wrong thing or I misunderstanding it, I dunno. But yes, duties as well if they apply.

I also forgot courier fees for importing as well. God help the OP if Fedex got hold of the package.
